Hot Homes: A Tale of Two Townhouses 🏡🏡
Last week, I had a very cerebral experience when I saw my name on Brooklyn’s top contracts datasheet: once as the seller’s agent, and once as the buyer’s.
Same week, both sides of the market 🤯 It’s been a dream of mine, and here’s how it came together…
I had been working with the sellers of 232 8th Street for several months to prep this impressive home for sale. This home is turnkey, beautiful, and big. We had spent some time finalizing the story of the house, planning the launch, and setting the calendar of events to promote it.
The right buyer found us soon after launch, and the negotiation went smoothly. I knew the number my sellers held firm on and was able to be transparent and strategic about what it would take to get the deal done. 🤝
That same week, a family I’d been working with for years (since Oct 2024) moved forward on a townhouse in the heart of Gowanus. Their journey was stop-and-go for a while, but finally, the sounds of their new gym neighbors gave them the push they needed to move from their rental into this townhouse.
It was fun, interesting, and rewarding to see two deals that had their own ups, downs, and timelines come together into a grande finale.

I can hardly believe it’s Aug. Where does the time go!?
I’m doing my best to make the most of the summer weekends we have left, squeezing in as many shows and galleries before they close. Consider this your last call list:
Cats: The Jellicle Ball - ends tomorrow! If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it 🐱
Clinamen at the Armory: Michael and I tried to see this exhibit in Paris last year, but we didn’t get the chance. Now it’s at the Park Ave Armory so it’s my sign to go! It closes this Sunday.
Titanique: this show is downright hilarious. Highly recommend grabbing a few friends and laughing together until you cry (the best kind of therapy IMHO). Performances are on until Sept 20th.
