Last week, I had a phone call with a client that changed everything.
We had worked together last summer to buy on the Upper East Side. It wasn’t an easy time—every time we put in an offer, we’d get outbid. It happened more than X times (and twice when our offer had already been accepted!) before we finally landed her a fantastic 2-bedroom on a prime block near Central Park.
I called her to check in and ended up crying happy tears when I learned that she had just been approved for adoption and was out on a walk with her baby. Sometime in the last 48 hours, she got the call she had been patiently waiting for for years, and now her life has totally changed.
We first met 15 months ago. Our journey together started as strangers, shifted to professionals, and now we are friends. It’s moments like this that remind me how special it is to be a part of your lives. Life has brought me here—to moments like this that will be remembered for a lifetime.

Ask the (Hamptons) Expert 🏡

“The single most important thing first-time Hamptons buyers should focus on is location. Not just the town, but the specific setting and overall feel that comes with it.
Buying your first Hamptons home is about understanding the distinct personality, rhythm, and long-term value of each area. From villages to waterfronts, every hamlet offers a different experience, and even homes just minutes apart can vary dramatically in terms of privacy, convenience, rental potential, and future value.
Beyond the house itself, buyers also need to understand the realities of zoning, wetlands, permitting, FEMA considerations, clearing restrictions, and overall buildability—particularly when purchasing near the water or considering future expansion. What may initially seem straightforward can become far more nuanced out east.
The strongest properties tend to combine location, privacy, light, outdoor living, and move-in-ready condition. Ultimately, buyers should focus not only on the home itself, but on how they truly want to spend time out east—whether that’s entertaining, being close to villages and restaurants, enjoying boating and beaches, or simply creating a place that feels like a true escape from everyday life. My role is helping guide buyers toward not only a beautiful home, but the right long-term fit both personally and financially.”
